Description
You will be driven from your hotel or residence to Praia Vermelha, at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, from where we will start a wonderful walk on the Pista Claudio Coutinho, a path that takes us length way the foot of the Sugar Loaf, through the lush and green forest right at the Atlantic Ocean Coast. From here we will be able to appreciate spectacular views of the ocean and the mountain. We will also be able to spot some “Sagui” monkeys, and possibly “Tiesangues”, and other exotic birds and animals. After our walk we will continue up to the Morro da Urca, the middle station on the way to the top of the Sugar Loaf. The more adventurous will have the optional choice to hike up to the middle station (a steep trail to the 320 meter high Morro da Urca), or you can also take the cable car. The hike takes about 30 minutes up to the middle station. From there we will continue up by cable car up to the 450 meter high Sugar Loaf, in order to enjoy the wonderful view on the city of Rio de Janeiro.
An interesting and relaxing half day tour, where everybody is able to participate!
