The entry of the waterfall is only 3m positive (that means with contact to the rock wall) and then 37m down, directly in the waterfall itself. This is an unforgettable experience for every participant. Adrenalin guaranteed! A lot of participants lost their height fear here ;-) Overnight stay will be again at Thomas` “palace” (it was a whish of lots of former participants). (Breakfast/ Lunch packet/ Dinner)

The trip will take about 1 to 1 ½ hours and leads us through a beautiful landscape straight to the Itajaí River. With helmet, life jacket, paddle and the necessary team spirit we defeat the rivers` white water. 2 ½ hours middle-class rafting through the fantastical nature with a stop where you can take a bath under a waterfall. Tonight we will return once again to our beach in Estaleiro. Overnight stay in apartments or chalets in Estaleiro – double room. (Breakfast/ Dinner)

11th day: White-water kayak expedition
After breakfast we go to the rafting station in St. Amaro do Imperatiz for our next adrenalin kick: a white-water kayak expedition
We reach the river in the small village called Vargem Grande. We will be welcomed by the rafting team and get to know our guides. Equipped with life vest, helmet and paddle we get into the kayaks at a bridge, crossing the river Cubatao. Every participant sits in a boat with his/her personal guide.
On the first kilometer, on calm white water, we learn the technics and comands. The river leads away from civilisation and soon we will have left behind the last houses. The mountains of Serra do Tabuleiro dominate the landscape and the river paves its way through the untouched canyon into the heart of the Atlantic Rainforest.
The white water is getting rougher, small waterfalls and sections of class II and III change with short parts of calm waters, where you can take a bath in the cristalclear water. We get part of the landscape – water, rocks and rainforest – wild an untouched. We are privileged discoverer of this paradise!
At the end of the trip we reach the highlight of this expedition: the river is getting tighter and builds two class IV-waterfalls that we are not able to pass. We have to get out of the boats and carry them to the very top of a rock near the fall. The bravest of us (facultativ!), sitting in their kayak, jump down the 5 meters high rock. Afterwards we have a picnic on the rocks in front of the waterfalls, surrounded by the rainforest. After about 4,5 hours we reach the rafting station where our expedition ends.
Afterwards we visit a Cachassaria, where the famous Brazilian sugar cane brandy is distilled. The owner will have prepared a Churrasco and we have the opportunitiy to taste his handmade brandy. Late at night we return to our pousada in Estaleiro.
