Description
Private boat trip with a regional boat. Boat staff: 2 guides (one English speaking, responsible for information concerning fauna and flora and one Portuguese speaking), boat captain, 1 cook and his assistant. Boat: typical regional boat with 2 decks. 1st deck: 2 bathrooms (toilet with shower), space for luggage. 2nd deck: space for hammocks and sun deck.
Program
1ST DAY AMAZONAS RIVER
Pick-up 08-08:15 at the hotel transfer to the port, departure by boat on the Amazonas river. Visiting the conjunction of the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimoes, the famous meeting of the waters. Lunch. Visiting Igarapé, small rivers, vitória régia-plants, and travelling upstream to the River Rio Negro by boat. Dinner. Evening observing wildlife, caimans. Sleeping overnight on board, in hammocks.
2ND DAY AMAZONAS RIVER Activity: in the morning a jungle trek of about 3-hours, observing flora and fauna, for example thousands of medical plants. Before lunch possibility to relax at one of the river beaches. After lunch visit of an indigenous community at the riverside, getting to know their culture and lifestyle. End of the afternoon a motor boat trip to the small rivers to observe birds, dolphins etc... – and caiman spotting at night before dinner .. Sleeping overnight in hammocks.
3RD DAY AMAZONAS RIVER
Spending the day at the Arquipelago Anavilhanas. Observing birds (05:30), small jungle trek, lunch, boat trip, and Piranha fishing at the end of the day.
Comments: the order and length of activities can change depending on the interests of the group or the weather conditions. Available at all time are 1 or 2 small motor boats (depending on group size), for short expeditions.
4TH DAY AMAZONAS RIVER – MANAUS Breakfast. Stop on the way back at one of the river beaches. Return to Manaus around 12:00, or if necessary earlier, depending of your flight. Transfer to the airport.

What to take with you:
* Clothing should be comfortable. For the excursions long sleeves and trousers are recommended. * Do not forget to bring insect repellent and sunblocker. Hats and sunglasses are recommended. * Be sure to have rain-clothing and waterproofed boots or shoes with you. * Please bring your own binoculars in order to enjoy the wildlife spotting. * You should also make sure that your video and photographic equipment are protected from water. Inside the forest the light will be low, so remember to take fast films (400 ASA or more) and a flash.
